maybe you can see cars going by okay so there are no big backups with this right now and you can continue using northbound 280 to head up into san francisco towards 101. it's that 19th avenue off-ramp that's flared off. it came in as a car versus pedestrian earlier. earlier a chp on scene told us this was a possible crime scene but right now it sounds like it was a pedestrian in the road and that's what happened. that's what caused this fatal accident. they gave us an initial opening time of 5 a.m. for when they could hopefully get that off-ramp open but as you can see, it's still closed. i talk to a chp officer a short time ago and they hope to open it any minute. so hopefully this won't be a major impact or cause major problems for the morning commute. right now, as your alternate, use junipero serra avenue or san jose avenue off-ramps as your alternates to get from daly city into san francisco. a lot of slick surfaces as gianna has been mentioning this morning. it is very drizzly out this morning so be extra careful for your morning drive. again this traffic alert still in effect here

we go to downtown, san jose, one of the big, big cities. and one of the prettier cities in the bay area, beautiful downtown. 87 in downtown san jose for a downtown high. if you're downtown around the concrete, down by main street there, 87 degrees, feels like 94, with all that concrete. the heat is coming out of the southwest, 90s in the valley, also clouds. that is what the north american monsoon is what we call it, a monsoonal deal, just meaning that it is seasonally shifting winds. that is all it is, doesn't mean wind or dry, but in this case it produces clouds to the north of us, possible showers in front of tahoe on friday. you just don't hear it referred to as a north american monsoon. so the clouds fire off stuff around lake tahoe on friday. and for us, really, some hazy sunshine and temperatures on the warm side. so the fog tomorrow morning, there it is midnight. after the 10:00 news. i'll pinpoint and track where the fog is going to be, how it affects your evening. should look something like that. san jose, you're clear. and tomorr
